Watch the Episode
Children often show kindness before anyone asks them to. They include, share, forgive, and connect in ways that adults sometimes complicate.
In this conversation, Andrea Putting sits down with Peter Nicholls to explore kindness, compassion, children, community, and the small acts that shape the world our children grow into.
What’s Brewing in This Episode
This conversation opens a simple but important human question:
If kindness comes naturally to children, what are they learning from us?
Peter shares the story behind CC the Caring Cow: The Kindness Adventure, his work through Change the One, and the belief that we do not have to change the whole world to make a difference. We can begin with one person, one child, one act, one moment.
Together, Andrea and Peter talk about what children already seem to understand about kindness, what adults often forget, and how everyday compassion can ripple further than we may ever know.
Guest Bio
Peter Nicholls is the founder of Change the One, a charity supporting education and community projects in Papua New Guinea, Vietnam, and the Philippines. His work focuses on creating opportunities for children and families through schools, clean water, practical support, and sustainable community initiatives.
Peter is also the author of CC the Caring Cow: The Kindness Adventure, a children’s book designed to encourage kindness, compassion, and simple acts of care in everyday life.
Brew the Change Challenge
This week, Brew the Change by letting a child see you choose kindness.
Hold the door. Say thank you. Help a neighbour. Include someone who might otherwise be left out. Take time to listen.
It does not need to be big.
Children learn so much from what they see us do. Let them see something worth carrying forward.
